The Journey of Salruk
Dawn of Salruk emerged in 1987 as our founder Lesley Senanayake entered into the clay industry commencing a clay roof tile manufacturing factory in the scenic village of Thambakanda, Sri Lanka. As time passed by, witnessing the monotonousness in the roofing tile industry, Lesley wanted to add value to clay and embrace the world of terracotta and ceramics. During this period, he met a wonderful personality Mr. Sivanadiyan who is known to be the father of the Sri Lankan ceramics industry that rendered great commitment and value for its development.
